Current NC Licensees do NOT need to notify the Board that they are using telepractice and there is no special certification for your license required. Licensees do need to understand the platform they are using.March 13, 2020

Per the Board meeting held 1/25/2019, The Board established that moving forward simulated patient hours will be accepted toward meeting the 20 hour minimum requirements for temporary licensure. The Board voted to eliminate the 50-mile requirement / policy for supervision of temporary licensees, while retaining the 4-hour requirement /policy for direct supervision of those temporary licensees. (Minutes 10/26/2018) This does not alter the 50-mile requirement / policy for SLP-Assistants.
