The North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology would like to express their deepest condolences to family and close friends of Mariana Newton, Ph.D. Mariana was instrumental in paving the way for licensure in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology in North Carolina, as well as long time Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a former Director of the Speech and Hearing Center at UNCG. This Board would like to thank her for her service to not only her students and patients, but the entire North Carolina Community.
