Extended License Renewal Grace Period for North Carolina Licensees Affected by Hurricane Helene

In response to the ongoing impact of Hurricane Helene, the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (NCBOESLPA) has announced an extension for license renewal grace periods for affected licensees.
Extension Details:
- Hurricane Helene allowances will end on January 25, 2025.
- North Carolina licensees whose licenses expire on or before January 25, 2025, and who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene, will be eligible for an extended grace period of 90 days for license renewal. This extension is in accordance with 21 NCAC 64 .0108 (Waiver) and the provisions of North Carolina Executive Order No. 318.
- Licensees whose licenses expire after January 25, 2025, will revert to the standard 30-day grace period as outlined in the Licensure Act for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (Article 22).
Important Reminder: If you choose to provide services during your grace period, please ensure your license is renewed before the expiration of the grace period.
