March 31, 2020
Per the Board meeting held 3/27/2020, it was established that in order for temporary licensees to count their time during the COVID-19 crisis, the Board will mirror ASHA in their relaxing of the Clinical Fellowship work week. The North Carolina Board of Examiners will also accept 36 weeks with at least 1,260 hours rather than the current 9-month requirement for temporary licensees. If you have met the 36 weeks with 1,260-hour minimum requirement you may submit your completed SEY report for review by the Board even if you have not reached your SEY completion date. Please refer to this link for information regarding ASHA’s relaxation of the CF work week which will also apply to the SEY for North Carolina temporary licensees. https://www.asha.org/Certification/COVID-19-Guidance-From-CFCC/
