“Accredited college or university” means an institution of higher learning accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities, or accredited by a similarly recognized association of another locale. (1975, c. 773, s. 1; 1987, c. 665, s. 1.)

Speech-Language Pathology
Temporary Speech Language Pathology License

The North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) will no longer enforce 90-295 (a)(3) of Article 22.Licensure Act for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists requiring clinical hours to be broken into specified diagnostic areas. Moving forward, applicants for a temporary speech and language pathology license must submit evidence of completing at minimum 400 hours of supervised clinical experience. These hours require a minimum of 25 hours of guided observation and 375 hours of direct patient contact.
